What classification would grafitti style fonts fall under?

I tried search grafitti here, and I didn’t find anything, and I looked through the tags, and don’t know what category, or type face or whatever it would fall under.  I don’t know much about type, and type faces, so I figured I could get help here.

Also, I was wondering if anyone might know about a font that may look similar to the attached image.
I wouldn’t be surprised if there is nothing like it, I just thought I’d check.

Thanks.

I would use a generic “Script” (or “Novelty”) class and then add a “graffiti” tag.
As for your image, even if it’s based on an actual typeface, it was heavily modified in order to create the ambigram.
Your best chance is to look under “graffiti” on MyFonts, DaFont and the like.

Try Display as well…maybe it’s just me, but I think of Scripts as being more traditional script fonts, with graffiti, novelty etc all shoved into the generic Display category. But that might not at all be how it’s organized here!

I would suspect people come here to get help and to “speak” with like minded people about issues related to typefaces, fonts, etc. Craig, you’re not that funny. Until you are, I suggest you offer help, add something of meaning to the discussion, or shut the hell up.

lol Craig. I do agree that it is bad. It isn’t a type of font style I would ever choose to use for anything, personally. Though if i didn’t know you from Facebook, I might have taken offense to your comment.

A friend of mine asked me if I knew of a font that was similar to it, since she hand drew that, for a tattoo she was getting. I wanted to try and help her make it look better so I figured I could find help here.
