I know more than the average designer - I know all the lingoetc, at my office whenever someone needs to know a font by looking @ it they ask me - but im not designing my own or anything so I wouldnt say expert. |

You don’t need to be a type designer to be an expert typographer. |

Hm thats really true actually, someone can be an expert guitar player, and not build them. Good call… |

Howdy, So I said I know more than a average designer. I can’t say I’m an expert, though others might say that. Truth be told, I’m not yet 18 years of age, but am a type book worm. I can’t loose the font game on iLT, and I’ve read over 60 design books. (Though my list has about 200-225 books, the library only gets interlibrary loans in so often.) I sort of do feelance design & I edit, design, and publish a small magazine. I’ve been into typography since I was 14, liked letters before that. Not an expert. |

Can’t always remember the difference between the bowl and the counter, but I know an awful lot about EULAs. I actually read them. |

I have had a couple of commercial font development jobs but they nearly killed me. I love type and know enough to be dangerous. |

I’m a total newbie. But I love typography and dream of making my own fonts someday. But in school they alsways had to give me extra homework in writing because my handwriting was so illegible. So maybe it’s a lost cause. |

I definitely *think* that I know more about typography than the average designer. On the other hand, there are so many things to learn, if I can reach expert status by the time I hit eighty, I consider myself lucky ;-). |
