I’m curious to see what other people are using to organize, sample and otherwise have fun with your fonts. Maybe you can do everything you need to in Photoshop, or maybe you have an expensive program you like. I’m currently just using Font Book on my mac, although I’ve sampled many other options.
What do you use, and why do you like it?

At the moment, I use FontExplorer X and I’ve been fairly pleased with it. - http://www.fontexplorerx.com/
The ability to quickly view typefaces by categories and organise into groups that make sense is a timesaver.

On my Mac I use Fontcase, which is expensive but worth it. On my PC I use FontExpert 2009, which some say suffers from “overload of information” disorder, but it’s what I’m used to.

I use FontExplorer X, like Dave.

Also using FontExplorer X here. Have to admit that Fontcase really looks fantastic, though.

I’m rarely do font management. But for sampling I found that fontpicker, can be quite useful. It based on Adobe AIR, so it should be working on any machine.

I use FontExplorer X as well. Has worked for me for a few years now, no complaints.

Is using Fontbook a bad thing? I just sort my fonts into lots of groups for different types of uses…

Only if it’s not working out for you. There’s no correct answer, just use whatever works best for you.

At home I’m using FontExplorer X Pro; at work we use Suitcase Fusion 2. There’s almost no difference between the two.
Personally I can’t wait ‘till Fontcase gets auto activation. I have yet to see a better designed font managing app.

FontCase is my pick for ease of use.

I use FontBook as well it’s super light weight / free / and clean looking. Doesn’t have the features of some of the others but works for me :)

After seeing font case suggested multiple times, I checked it out. It’s a gorgeous and powerful application!

What would be nice is a font management program that uses the information here for organisation. Enabling/browsing your current fonts by tag and classification would be really quite cool.

I found Fontcase a few months ago and fell in love. Havent wanted a replacement at all.
