Background
Faced with static typography, dynamism and freedom of handwriting are large areas of research for type designers. Franck Jalleau draws the Scripto to answer these questions by former singular propositions. The Scripto is the result of work on the move & its resulting trace, as well as finding new rhythms. It differs from traditional cursive and playing rules of the genre: the angle of inclination of the Scripto is not regular, and instead presents a wide variety of shapes, slopes and contrepentes. The silhouette of each word is the assembly of signs energies and gradients subtly different. Another peculiarity: the signs are not routinely ligated to make the rich and vibrant rhythm.
