Background

Recovery is a revival of Eagle Bold, a typeface originally designed by M. F. Benton for American Type Founders. Benton’s design was based on letters designed by Charles Coiner for use in the identity and propaganda of the National Recovery Administration, a short-lived US Government agency that was part of Roosevelt’s New Deal.
