Background

Pablo Skinny was inspired by the film title work of Pablo Ferro. The end result is a typeface that approaches the aesthetic sensibilities of Ferro’s work on the Men In Black titles, but has character designs that are uniquely its own – my way of paying homage, but not duplicating his work. This includes more rounded curves on characters like B and D, as well as different approaches to the M and W. I’ve also created a much deeper character set with glyph designs not fully realized in Ferro’s title designs - including numerals, mathematical glyphs, currency glyphs, accented alphabetic glyphs, and other analphabetic glyphs.
