Background
Linux Libertine is a free typeface developed by the Libertine Open Fonts Project. It is intended to be used in place of a font like Times New Roman.
It is a full-featured typeface with many OpenType features, such as discretionary and historical ligatures, old-style and lining numbers (with monospaced and proportional variants of each) and true small capitals.
The companion sans-serif face is Linux Biolinum.
Linux Libertine is available under the SIL Open Font License, as well as under the GNU General Public License with font exception.
