Background
FF Strada started as Albert Pinggera’s project at the Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague and has its roots in stone-cut lettershapes Pinggera made, which inspired his Italic. In the following years he developed the design into a low-contrast sans-serif family with exceptional details, highly legible in small and interesting in display sizes.
The horizontal, slightly heavy stress on the top of the letters remind me of Evert Bloemsma’s Designs FF Balance and FF Legato.
