Background
Designed in cooperation with Mike Abbink at Saffron Brand Consultants, Deuno Sans is a custom typeface for El Banco Deuno, a Mexican bank that provides microcredit.
The design draws its inspiration from Central American brush lettering on shops and houses. To preserve a sense of liveliness the lettershapes are deliberately made imperfect and the font switches automatically between alternate versions of letters.
