Background

According to Ale Paul, compendium was designed to be a sequel to Burgues script. It is based on the penmanship of Platt Rogers Spencer, and contains more than 700 glyphs, including standard and discretional ligatures, contextual alternatives, swashes, and ornaments.

iLT described it as “a fluid, beautifully crafted script, made all the more wonderful with a large helping of OpenType wizardry,” where it was voted as one of the top typefaces of 2008.
