Background
Jos Buivenga was born in 1965. He live’s in Arnhem (the Netherlands) and used to work 4 days a week at an advertising agency as an art director. He is now a full time Type Designer at Exljbris.
His first interest in typography started to take shape at the AKA (Academy of Arts Arnhem), where he studied from 1984 “ 1988. In 1994 he started his first typeface Delicious, which he finished in 1996.
Shortly after he finished Fontin his fonts got listed at Vitaly Friedman’s ‘25 Best Free Quality Fonts‘. That’s when things really took off and also probably the reason why you’ve come to know him now…
