Background
Alejandro Lo Celso (1970) is an information & typeface, born in Córdoba, Argentina. He has worked as an art director at different newspapers and magazines, has taught design, typography, and type history at several institutionsin different countries and has written collaborative articles for some journals. He holds a MA in Typeface Design from the University of Reading (UK), and also post-diplôme at the ANRT, Atelier National de Recherche Typographique, at Nancy, France. He has given seminars and workshops around Argentina, Chili, France, Germany, and Mexico. In 2001 he founded PampaType, the first type foundry from Argentina. Since then all its published typefaces have been multi-awarded, and have been broadly published internationally. Alejandro is a professor at the type design master, Gestalt center of studies, Veracruz, Mexico; a visiting professor at the fine arts school of Toulouse, France; and he works as an independent consultant in communication, editorial, typography, and type design. He lives in Coyoacán, Mexico city.
